Policies and Expectations

Booking

By booking services, you agree to the following policies and all the policies found in our privacy policy, cookie policy, and terms of service. Please read these policies carefully and ask questions prior to booking.

In-Person Consultations

In-person consultations are limited to within 15 miles of Green River College (12401 SE 320th Street, Auburn, WA 98092). There is a $2/minute travel charge for in-person behavior consultations. If you are unsure whether an in-person consult is needed, please contact us before booking. Many issues can be resolved virtually. An in-person consult may be switched to a virtual consult upon request.

Vet Visits

If your animal has not seen a veterinarian recently, please consider making an appointment with them first before scheduling an appointment. Many behavioral issues have a medical component. This is especially true for litter box issues!

Scheduling

You are responsible for scheduling your own sessions. Appointments are limited, so please book your work sessions and follow-ups early. You can schedule directly through the website using the Book an Appointment Now button.

Follow-ups and check-ins

Few issues are resolved in one session. Resolution depends on many factors such as severity, frequency of training, motivation, health, the family, and much more. Unlimited chat and email follow-ups are included in all services. Clients who check in more often typically get better resolution.

Rescheduling

We require 3 days’ notice if you need to reschedule your appointment. Rescheduling less than 3 days before the scheduled session will incur a $25 rescheduling fee. Rescheduling should be done directly through Microsoft Bookings or via email.

Cancellations

Less than 24 hours’ notice of cancellation will result in a loss of session payment, and you will be required to pay for another session to reschedule. If you cancel the session more than 24 hours in advance and pay the $25 rescheduling fee, you may apply the original session fee towards another booking for up to 6 months from the date of purchase.

No-Shows

Any appointment where no contact is made with Weber Animal Behavior within 10 minutes of the start of the scheduled appointment time will be considered a no-show. No-shows will forfeit their appointment, and no refunds, extra sessions, etc. will be given. Please let us know if you need to cancel your appointment or are running behind! Repeated no-shows may result in being refused further services.

Payment

Payment is due in full at the time of booking via PayPal or a QuickBooks digital invoice. This helps me keep no-shows to a minimum.

Refunds

We begin working on your case as soon as you book your appointment. This involves reviewing your case history, gathering information, and potentially assigning homework in advance of the scheduled session. For this reason, there are no refunds for appointments that are either missed or canceled. If something comes up, you may reschedule according to our rescheduling policy. All sales are final and no refunds are given.

Session Expiration

Sessions or packages that are paid for in advance must be used within 6 months of the date of purchase. After this period, the session(s) will be forfeited. No refunds, extra sessions, etc. will be given, and a new session must be purchased to continue working with Weber Animal Behavior.

Guarantees

Every situation is unique and animals are unpredictable in their responses to intervention. For this reason, we cannot guarantee results, but we will do everything we can to help you successfully resolve the problem. No refunds will be given for unsuccessful interventions. If Weber Animal Behavior feels it cannot effectively address your problem, we may recommend that you seek additional help from another qualified behavior consultant or veterinary behaviorist.

Dismissal

We reserve the right to dismiss any client at any time for any reason.

Inclement Weather Policy

We may cancel your in-person session due to inclement weather, particularly during the winter. We will try to give you as much notice as possible if this occurs. You may be asked to switch to a virtual session or rescheduled for a later date, depending on the forecast and our availability.

Use of Punishment

When entering a contract with Weber Animal Behavior, you agree to eliminate the use of any negative or punishment-based training methods such as:

  • Scat Mats, e-collars, or anything that works by using an electric shock
  • Squirt bottles, scuffing, or SSScat cans of air
  • Choke chains or prong collars
  • Physical punishment (hitting, tapping on the nose, leash corrections, etc.)

This is not a comprehensive list, and anything that works by startling your animal, making your animal uncomfortable, or harming your animal in any way falls under the criteria. If you would like clarification or further explanation, please contact us.
